Iran has suspended indirect exchanges and the exchange of messages with the US through intermediaries in protest against continued Israeli attacks in Lebanon, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported today.

According to the agency, the decision was made in response to what it described as Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, which Iran considers one of the conditions underpinning the broader ceasefire agreements in Lebanon. region.

Tasnim said the Iranian negotiating team will stop “talks and exchanges of messages through intermediaries” until its demands regarding Gaza and Lebanon are met.

The report noted that Iranian officials and negotiators have stressed the need for an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon as well as a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied areas in Lebanon.

“As long as the position of Iran and the resistance front on these issues is not addressed, there will be no talks,” Tasnim said.

The media reported that Iran and allied groups in the so-called resistance axis have decided to prepare responses to Israeli attacks and consider opening additional fronts.

According to the report, the measures being considered include the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the activation of other fronts, including the Strait Bab al-Mandab as a tool to put pressure on Israel and its supporters.
