The head of the Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, has sent a letter to the head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, expressing his readiness for the Social Democratic Initiative to be part of the joint list for the June 7 elections.
According to the letter, which was obtained by Tëvë1, Limaj has emphasized the need for cooperation and political union in order to create a more powerful opposition alternative for the citizens of Kosovo.
In the letter, he emphasizes that such a union should not be seen only as an electoral agreement, but as a continuation of a spirit of cooperation between people and structures that, according to him, have shared ideals and a common vision for the country for years.
Limaj has also made it known that the Initiative is not entering this process with special political or organizational requirements, but with the aim of greater coordination of the opposition spectrum.
“The union and coordination of the opposition potential is in the interest of Kosovo and its citizens”, the letter addressed to the PDK states, among other things.
The head of the Initiative has expressed readiness for full political, organizational and electoral contribution within a joint process, leaving open the possibility for further coordination between the two parties
