Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, stated that the Israeli war in Gaza since October 2023 has led to the complete disappearance of more than 2,500 Palestinian families from the civil registry.
During the opening of the eighth conference of the Fatah movement, Abbas said that entire families have been extinguished without a single member remaining alive.
He emphasized that, according to Palestinian data, they have been killed by the war. 72,744 Palestinians and 172,588 others have been injured, mostly women, children and the elderly.
According to Abbas, more than 85 percent of the cities and refugee camps in Gaza have been destroyed, including homes, schools, hospitals, churches and mosques, rendering the areas uninhabitable.
The Palestinian president accused Israel of deliberately trying to forcibly relocate Palestinians to other countries, a plan that, according to him, has been rejected by the majority of countries in the world.
“Gaza has turned into a devastated area where crimes of murder, genocide, starvation and siege are committed, in open violation of international humanitarian law,” declared Abbas. /message
