Thousands of Muslim pilgrims continued the Hajj rituals between Mina and Mecca on Wednesday, as part of the Eid al-Fitr day, while the Saudi authorities said that the organization is taking place without problems.
The pilgrims started the ritual of throwing stones at the Jamarat complex in Mina, symbolizing the rejection of Satan’s temptations by Prophet Ibrahim. They threw stones at Jamret al-Aqaba, the largest pillar in the compound, before proceeding with the slaughter of the sacrifice, cutting or shaving of hair and the tawaf of ifada at the Kaaba in Mecca.
According to the National Meteorological Center in Saudi Arabia, temperatures reached up to 44 degrees Celsius, but the movement of pilgrims took place in an organized and controlled manner.
Many pilgrims appreciated the organization of this Hajj season. Hajj pilgrims from India and Iraq told the media that the services and organization were at a high level and that they did not encounter any difficulties during their stay.
The Tawaf of ifada, one of the main pillars of the Hajj, involves going around the Kaaba seven times in the Grand Mosque in Mecca. After this ritual, the pilgrims will continue their stay in Mina during the days of Teshrik, where they will perform the shooting of three jamrats, before completing the Hajj with the farewell tawaf.
Saudi authorities said that the modern bridge of the Jamarat, built for crowd management, has helped the safe movement of the pilgrims. The complex has a capacity of over 300,000 hajilars per hour and is equipped with escalators, cooling systems and advanced monitoring.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce announced that the holy places have sufficient supplies of basic products. Since the beginning of the month of Dhul Hijhxhe, over 622 million food and consumer products, including water, bread, milk products and ice, have been distributed for the needs of Hajjilers. /message
