The Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Peja has announced that the suspect A.B. has been detained for 48 hours on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “Materials containing the sexual exploitation and abuse of children”.

According to the announcement, the arrest of the suspect came after an intensive investigative work between the Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Peja in coordination with the Kosovo Police, namely the Unit for Combating Cybercrimes, broadcast Klankosova.tv.

During the implementation of the operation, it is known that electronic devices were also seized, which are suspected to have been used to commit the aforementioned criminal offense.

“Within the legal deadline, the State Prosecutor will undertake all the necessary investigative and procedural actions, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, in order to fully illuminate this criminal case. The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Peja remains committed in the fight against all forms of criminality, especially criminal offenses that violate the integrity and safety of children”, the announcement states.
