The President decrees the 2026 Budget Law

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, decreed yesterday the Law on Budget Appropriations for the State Budget for 2026.

The news was made known to teve1.info by Bekim Kupina, media advisor to President Osmani.

“The President yesterday decreed the Law on Budget Appropriations for the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2026”, he said. it.

With this step, the budget law for 2026 moves to the stage of institutional implementation.

The 2026 budget is expected to reach around 4 billion euros. Of this amount, over three billion euros have been allocated for the central level, while 867 million euros for the local level.

For capital investments, which are seen as the main pillar for economic development, 998 million euros have been planned, or 7.2% more compared to 2025 (931 million euros).

The 2026 budget was approved on February 20 by the Assembly.
