Israeli authorities have announced the closure of border points to the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah Crossing border point, until further notice.
The Israeli agency that coordinates government activities in the Palestinian territories said the measure was taken following Israel’s attacks on Iran. According to her, the rotation of humanitarian personnel has also been temporarily postponed, while it is claimed that the closing of the borders will have “no effect” on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
However, the number of trucks with aid that have entered the Gaza Strip since the entry into force of the so-called ceasefire in October has been much lower than expected. Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinians are urgently awaiting medical evacuation from Gaza for treatment abroad. /message
