The municipality of Prishtina has announced that the sale of poultry and animals on March 18 and 19, 2026, on the occasion of the Eid holiday, will only be allowed at the new location in the village of Bernicë e Poshtme in the parking lot on “Vëllezërit Fazliu” street (former vehicle market).

The municipality has announced that the slaughtering or cutting of animals is not allowed at this location and that the Municipal Inspectorate will be on the ground.

“In this location only the sale of animals is allowed, while slaughtering or cutting them is not allowed under any circumstances. Likewise, all sellers are required to take care of the maintenance of the surrounding environment during their stay and activity, by not throwing garbage or other waste. The Capital Inspectorate will take care of the smooth running of the activity, while all sellers who are found carrying out activities outside this location will be legal measures are taken according to the legislation in force”, the announcement of the Municipality states.
