The 10th and most recent edition of the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, held in the Romanian capital Bucharest, has ended today, reports Anadolu.
Organized by the “New Strategy Center” – a Romanian institute founded in 2015 – the event, which began on Tuesday, gathered over the last two days current and former officials, as well as many experts and representatives from academic and business circles. business.
Within the event, in which Anadolu was a global communication partner, a total of 46 panels were held for in-depth discussions on topics related to the Black Sea and Balkan region, including security, energy, defense and technology.
The two-day event was held under the patronage of the President of Romania Nicusor Dan, who spoke at the opening panel of the forum, and was held on the sidelines of the last summit of The Bucharest Summit (B9), held earlier on Wednesday, also in the Romanian capital.
B9 is an organization that includes Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
The summit was one of four main topics covered in the panel discussions; the other three topics were the Russia-Ukraine war, transatlantic cooperation and the technological challenges created by artificial intelligence (AI).
The rector of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Sorin Cimpeanu, as well as the German ambassador to Romania Angela Ganninger and the chief executive of the New Strategy Center, George Scutaru, delivered closing remarks at the end of the two-day forum.
