According to the Albanian authorities, during the year 2025 over 12 million foreign tourists have visited Albania, resulting in a record figure compared to 2024, reports Anadolu.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports of Albania, Blendi Gonxhja, has confirmed on social networks that at the end of 2025, Albania broke the record of the previous year, surpassing the figure of 12 million visitors with foreign passports.
“A result that confirms the consolidation of the country as a year-round tourist destination, with stable interest beyond the summer season and with diverse offers in cultural, natural, culinary, sports tourism and more, strengthening its position on the international tourism map”, wrote Gonxhja.
According to official data, 11.7 million foreigners visited Albania during the year 2024.
The Government of Albania focuses on the development of the tourism sector and according to the Albanian authorities “in 2030, Albania will be the champion of the Balkans in tourism”.
