The current chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has officially submitted his resignation to the delegates of the extraordinary Assembly of the party, stressing that the final decision already belongs to this forum.
During his speech, Abdixhiku said that, with a full sense of responsibility, he is submitting his resignation from the post of chairman to the Assembly, in order for the vote of confidence to be decided directly before the delegates.
“Dear delegates, with full responsibility I am submitting my resignation from the position of chairman to the LDK Assembly, so that this Assembly can decide on the vote of confidence,” said Abdixhiku.
He emphasized that this action is not aimed at creating crises or divisions within the party, but to clarify the political direction that must be followed in the future.
“I am not doing this to cause a crisis, but to clarify the path that we must follow forward. I am not doing it to divide the LDK, but to strengthen and unite it,” he said, addressing the delegates with the question of how they see his continuation as chairman and the future of the party.
Abdixik concluded by emphasizing that whatever decision the Assembly will make, he will accept and respect it with dignity and full faith in the democratic process of the LDK.
