The Special Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against Egzon Reshani, for committing the criminal offense of “Intimidation”. According to the indictment, Reshani insulted and threatened the injured and their families, among other things, stating that he would kill the police officers.

“I will cut you down with a cane”, “I killed you or you killed me, but I won’t kill you alive” and “Children are held hostage” are some of the expressions that Reshani used against the policemen.

With these actions, Reshani is suspected to have caused a feeling of fear and insecurity for their life, physical integrity and safety and that of their family members, therefore they are charged with having committed the criminal offense of “Intimidation”, from Article 181, paragraph 3, in relation to paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

The Prosecution has proposed to the Court that the defendant be found guilty and punished according to the law.

As a mitigating circumstance, the Prosecution has proposed remorse and expressed regret, admission of guilt and cooperation during the procedure.

Otherwise, Reshani is in custody under the suspicion of having committed four other criminal offenses. /INS
