Until Friday, 102,897 parents and legal guardians have applied through the e-Kosova platform for the subsidy of textbooks and school materials for students of primary and lower secondary education (grades 1-9).

“Until 4:00 p.m. today, 102,897 parents have applied. The application will be open until August 9, 2026. We call on all parents who have not yet applied to e-Kosova for the subsidy of textbooks and school materials for students from the first to the ninth grade to do so as soon as possible, so that the Ministry has the opportunity to implement it in time and as soon as possible the transfer of financial means to the parents’ checking accounts, so that in September every student can start the lesson equipped with books”, said the director of Pre-University Education at MAS, Anita Kadriu.
She has made it known that during the entire application process, citizens have been offered continuous support for any ambiguity or difficulties encountered.
“The application process is developing successfully and so far has flowed without obstacles, thanks to the continuous cooperation and coordination with the staff of Agency of the Information Society (ASHI). Throughout the process, citizens have been offered continuous support for any ambiguity or difficulty encountered during the application, ensuring the continuity of the process without delays.
The financial means will be transferred directly to the bank account of the parent/applicant.
“Before applying, but also those parents who have already applied, we ask them to make sure that their bank account is active and correct, as well as that the data in e-Kosova are updated”, she added.
Kadriu announced that the application will also be made available to foreign citizens with temporary or permanent residence permits in the Republic of Kosovo, whose children attend the educational institutions of the country.
“For foreign citizens who do not yet possess a residence permit, but have children enrolled in the schools of the Republic Kosovo, MASh will submit the list of these cases to ASHI in order to create access to e-Kosova for application. Parents can send documents for this category by email to the address [email protected], but also in physical form to MASh,” she said.
According to MASh, all applications will be verified by the respective schools through authorized coordinators.
