From September 1, the electricity reconnection fee is also applied to disconnected consumers

KESCO has announced that it has received an official notification from the Distribution System Operator (DSO) about the start of the implementation of a new fee for reconnection to electricity for consumers disconnected due to non-payment of the electricity bill. 

According to the announcement, the fee will be applied from September 1 of this year, in addition to the disconnection fee which is already in effect. 

According to the announcement, this fee will be applied in addition to the disconnection fee, which is already in force.

However, KESCO has not indicated how much this fee is.

“According to the announcement of the DSO, from September 1, 2026, the reconnection fee will be applied to consumers who have been disconnected from the network due to non-payment of financial obligations and who request the reconnection of the supply electricity. This fee will be applied in addition to the disconnection fee, which is already in force, in accordance with the regulations of the ERO, among other things, the announcement states.
