The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren has announced that they have arrested the defendant S.Q. in the act, under the suspicion that he has committed the criminal offenses of “Blackmail” and “Harassment”.

The same, through messages on the WhatsApp application, has exerted pressure on the victim, threatening her with the publication and sending to her family members of materials that, according to his claims, would violate her honor and the authority. In this way, the same has requested and managed to provide financial means, in the amount of up to 50 thousand euros, which the injured party is suspected to have secured, among other things, through the sale of gold taken from her mother and family members, in order to fulfill the demands of the suspect.

Also, according to the suspicions administered up to this stage of the procedure, the defendant is suspected of having continued unwanted and threatening communications towards her the victim, causing her great fear and emotional distress, both for herself and for her family members.

The defendant is in detention for 48 hours, while within the legal deadline, the Prosecution will assess the submission of the request for the determination of the measure to ensure the presence of the defendant in the criminal procedure.

Also, in connection with the case, 21 thousand 100 euros, one (1) car and two (2) mobile phones.
