“Currently there is no negotiating mechanism, but messages are being exchanged with the Americans. Our contacts with the Americans have not been cut off, but no progress has been made in the negotiations,” Araghchi said in an interview. for Lebanese Al Mayadeen television.

Araghchi said that both sides are reviewing the texts exchanged and working on a final formula, stressing that any return to negotiations will depend on guaranteeing Iran’s rights and ending the war “against Iran, Lebanon and the region”.

“Any return to negotiations will be based on securing the rights of the Iranian people and ending the war against Iran, Lebanon and the region,” he said.

The Iranian top diplomat also tied the future of any deal to developments in Lebanon, stressing that Tehran considers the conflicts interrelated.
