Israeli planes drop incendiary munitions into southern Lebanon

An Israeli aircraft dropped incendiary phosphorus rockets on the forests of the southern Lebanese municipality of Qalila today, in the latest violation of the ongoing ceasefire, Lebanese media reported, Anadolu reports.

The bombing caused fires in citrus plantations and agricultural land, the state news agency NNA reported.

Since March 2, Israel has expanded its offensive in southern Lebanon, killing over 3,100 people and wounding more than 9,500 others, according to Lebanese officials.

Despite a cease-fire brokered by the United States of America, which went into effect on April 17 and was then extended until early July, the Israeli army continues daily attacks and house demolitions in southern Lebanon.
