Authorities in Qatar have announced the suspension of all public activities, gatherings and entertainment events in hotels and tourist areas until further notice.

The decision comes after several waves of explosions were heard over the capital Doha during the day. Also, all Ramadan tents and iftars that are usually organized by hotels and tourist centers for companies, state institutions and the public during the holy month of Ramadan have been stopped.

Meanwhile, Kuwait has also taken similar measures. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the cancellation of Taraweeh prayers in all mosques in the country until further notice. Tarawih are night prayers that are performed during the month of Ramadan. /message
