Rape of a minor in Istog: 1 month of detention for the 54-year-old

On Friday, Istog was shocked by a serious case. The Kosovo Police caught a 54-year-old man red-handed raping a 12-year-old minor in the village of Dubravë.

After this case, the Basic Court in Pejë – Department for Serious Crimes, with the judge of the preliminary procedure Shaqë Curri, imposed a one-month detention on the defendant T.P., following the request of the Basic Prosecution in Pejë.

Detention was set with reasoning that there is a well-founded suspicion that the defendant T.P. has committed the criminal offense “Rape”, according to article 227 paragraph 7 related to paragraph 1 and based on article 77 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

The measure was determined in accordance with the legal conditions provided for by the Code of Criminal Procedure of Kosovo.

IndeksOnline reported yesterday that the suspect in question is Tom Prekaj from Gurrakoci.
