The Speaker of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, visited the Turkey-North Macedonia Business Council, which operates within the framework of the Council for Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK), reports Anadolu.
Gashi, who was in Istanbul as part of the NATO Parliamentary Summit organized by Turkey, paid a visit to the Turkey-North Macedonia DEIK Business Council.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the DEIK Turkey-North Macedonia Business Council, Bilal Kara, DEIK officials as well as members of the Board of Directors of the Business Council.
Gashi, in his speech, said that they attach great importance to the further strengthening of friendly relations between Turkey and North Macedonia, stressing that they support efforts to develop economic cooperation and increase mutual investments.
Meanwhile, Kara said that the political relations between Turkey and North Macedonia are at an excellent level and that the volume of trade between the two countries has exceeded 1 billion dollars.
The meeting also assessed that there are significant investment opportunities in many sectors, in particular in health, manufacturing, renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, tourism, agriculture and digital technology, while the expectations of the Turkish business community were also expressed.
