Thaçi asks Madagascar to recognise Kosovo

Prishtina – Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, has on Monday received deputy chairman of the Madagascar Senate, Mr Amido when they discussed cooperation between the two countries.

President Thaci said that Kosovo remains factor of peace and stability in the region, by promoting peace and dialogue. He informed deputy chairman Mr. Amido on the consolidation of the Kosovo’s statehood, emphasising that new recognitions and Kosovo’s membership into international organisations remain a priority, according to a press release of the President’s Office. On this occasion, President Thaci asked Madagascar to recognise Kosovo’s independence, thus joining majority of the UN member countries, which already have recognised Kosovo’s statehood. Deputy chairman of Madagascar Senate, Amido said that his country is interested to cooperate with Kosovo in all fields, reports Express.
