The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani distributed over 200 decorations to personalities from various sectors: journalism, sports, health, education, art, culture, activists, public servants who with their work left an indelible mark for the freedom and independence of Kosovo and who contributed to state building.

In her speech, President Vjosa Osmani said that the decorations, in addition to being gratitude, are also evidence of the sacrifice and courage of the citizens who did not give up the freedom of the country.

“Homeland is not only the place where we were born, but a call that follows us throughout our lives. The Republic of Kosovo is an uninterrupted flow of generations of those who gave everything. At the heart of this effort is our freedom itself, not only as an acquired right, but a deep permanent feeling.

The month of March, in which the ceremony is being held, is a difficult month in our history, a memory that brings us back to the massacres committed by Serbia. The decorations that are being shared are also a testimony of the sacrifice and courage that never gave up and gave up their freedom. Our honor will be with the heroes of the KLA, who gave their lives for freedom it belongs to them. Our freedom was not only created on the battlefield, many sons and daughters of this country were also built with knowledge. Some of the decorations are dedicated to the contribution to freedom and independence and will be given to those who are found in this country in decisive times,” said Osmani, who will play with Turkey tomorrow to be part of the world championship.
