‘We aim to change Kosovo’s status in World Bank ranking’

Prishtina – Ministry of Trade and Industry is working seriously in order to improve the climate for doing business in Kosovo, minister Hikmete Bajrami told Radio Kosova.

Being aware that the indicators that are measured by World Bank also deal with the local level, Bajrami hopes that the governmental Task Force will manage to reach its goal and improve Kosovo’s ranking in the next World Bank report.

Minister Bajrami does not admit that Kosovo ranking in the World Bank report on ease of doing business for 2016 has changed, although it is officially proven that it has decreased by two levels. According to Bajrami this change in ranking has happened due to World Bank having changed its methodology of indicators’ calculating.
