According to the announcement, the inspections were carried out within the framework of ongoing activities for the supervision of the implementation of labor legislation, as well as safety and health at work.
“During the inspections, serious violations of the legal provisions were found, which presented a serious risk to the life and health of the workers. As a result, the Central Labor Inspectorate has decided to immediately stop work at both construction sites until the complete elimination of the identified irregularities”. according to the announcement.
According to the Inspectorate, these measures are aimed at preventing accidents at the workplace and guaranteeing safe conditions for workers.
“The inspected subjects are obliged to eliminate all the identified deficiencies, while the works will be allowed to resume only after the inspectors verify that the legal requirements and occupational safety and health standards have been met”, it is further stated.
Central Labor Inspectorate has announced that it will continue intensive controls throughout the territory of Kosovo and will take measures against any entity that violates the safety and health of workers.
At the same time, the Central Labor Inspectorate calls on all employers to strictly comply with the legal provisions and ensure safe working conditions, as the protection of the life and health of workers remains a non-negotiable priority./ G.S
